Our Langley Fashion Addition 14+ was the first of our six stores to open up shop, providing beautiful and high-quality clothing to flatter any plus size figure.
After almost two decades of service, it was time for a little Spring makeover.
The store was recently renovated from top-to-bottom – exquisite chandeliers now hang overhead the cash desk, new flooring has been added and an open-floor concept adds to a modern look and sophisticated ambiance.
To celebrate, we decided to throw a little party last Friday and invite our loyal clients who frequent this location.
Around 50 women were in attendance, many of whom came from all over the Fraser Valley to take part in the festivities, which included a wine tasting from Kalala Organic Estate Winery, as well as delicious nibbles from Wild Wing Langley and SaladWorks.
Guests were also treated to a gift, discounted merchandise and had the opportunity to win some amazing door prizes.
“The whole thing was an amazing success,” says Cindy Tjensvold, manager of the Langley location.
“The store was full of beautiful women who were so appreciative of the new look and feel of our store — it truly took my breath away!”
“There was also lots of laughter, wine and food.”
While the store doesn’t usually have over 50 women at one given time, a little flexibility and creativity ensured minimal wait times in the changing area.
“We had women changing in the staff bathroom and the guest bathroom so they wouldn’t have to wait in a long lineup,” laughed Cindy.
Fashion Addition is a family run business, which is why the owners Bill and Marilyn Booth decided to include everyone in this event, right down to the family dog!
Their daughter, Kerri Booth, is the buyer for Fashion Addition and also serves as president for Rescue a Boxer.
RESCUE A BOXER works diligently to find forever homes in Canada for Boxer dogs in need of a second start. Since 2004 the non-profit organization has rescued and placed hundreds of amazing Boxer dogs in loving families.
“We made the evening about melding both passions together in one forum,” said Kerri, whose boxer, Izzy, also attended the party dressed up in his finest bow tie.
“He welcomed all our long-time customers with a boxer bum wiggle and a kiss!
Even the Booth’s granddaughter, Taylor was in attendance as Izzy’s chaperone.
“To see all generations of our family attend an event like this where it all started was very special and heartwarming,” said Kerri.
“We’re also pleased to announce that we raised $300 for the rescue that night.”
